A Personal Note From Karri Hartman, Massage Therapist
 |
"I have bachelor's and master's degrees in other areas. I am a massage therapist because I choose to be. I left a secure career to pursue what I really love - working one-on-one with people to help relieve them from pain.
I had a cushy management job with all the benefits, but then one day I got a headache that wouldn't go away. I tried everything I knew, but couldn't shake it. Finally, I decided to try massage. Id had a few in my life and enjoyed them. I figured maybe I just needed to relax to get rid of my headache.
As I was lying on the table, my headache fading away and feeling absolutely relaxed and wonderful, I thought, 'What a great job this would be! To help people feel like this!' Six weeks later I was in massage therapy school and I've never looked back. I love helping people feel safe, accepted, and relieving them of their pain. I |
have been in other organizations with great missions. But nothing has been as fulfilling as massage therapy.
My service also includes a savory piece of healthy dark chocolate (lightly sweetened and cold processed to preserve the high antioxidant content), which has been shown to increase circulation, improve mood, and reduce pain much like massage! You can feel better with massage and chocolate that's why I'm the Massage & Chocolate, Co.
I would love you to experience firsthand the benefits that come from getting massage with a highly trained professional. Please print out the massage gift certificate on this site and call me at (801) 836-0782 today to book an appointment time that's convenient for you. There are no strings attached and no obligation. It's just my little gift to you."
Here's Why She's Considered One Of The Best Provo Massage Therapists Provo...
Here's what just a few of her many customers have to say about Provo massage therapist, Karri Hartman...
"When I first went to Karri I had been experiencing frequent headaches for two or three weeks. I tried to treat them with various pain relievers, but those, predictably, just masked the pain. I made the decision to see a massage therapist only after I'd reached the point where I was willing to try anything; however, I wasn't expecting much. Less than ten minutes into the session Karri figured out that the headaches were stemming from some neck pain. The day after the session my headaches were gone and my neck felt great. Beyond that though, Karri pinpointed some trouble areas in my shoulders that had accumulated over years of hunch-backed computer-usage. I'd lived with the pain for over a decade, just accepting it as one of those body barnacles that's never really meant to go away. But now that it's being treated and the knots are nearly gone (after only two sessions) I have no idea how I functioned everyday with thirty pound sea creatures attached to my muscular system. After all I've been to massage 'therapists' before, but in my experience they rarely stray from their rote massage pattern in order to find and target individual problem areas. And the blessed few who do try and provide you with some sort of healing experience end up pounding your flesh like Sunday roast - hardly an enjoyable experience. Karri has this unique ability to effectively heal without sacrificing relaxation.

On a personal level Karri is exceptional. On my first visit I forgot my checkbook and Karri was more than understanding, offering to let me pay at our next session. When I returned (with actual currency this time) she remembered the areas we worked on last session, my occupation, and what school I attended, which I found impressive considering the number of patients she probably sees in a week. She also gave me some stretches when we were done to loosen up the muscles even more before our next appointment; they all helped tremendously. It's like my old body took a vacation, and I'm borrowing a (much younger) friend's indefinitely.

Karri's facilities are impeccable. Everything is clean, pleasantly decorated, and when you first walk into her office there is a chocolate waiting for you on your pillow and a bottle of water set aside for after the session. That should have been my first clue that Karri wasn't any ordinary massage therapist. Her personal attention and willingness to go the extra mile for her clients make your sessions with her a truly valuable experience."

"It is easy to relax and feel comfortable when you're with Karri. She is very easy going, and gives a positive feeling. She provides a soothing, calming, and reassuring atmosphere.

Since I've started going to Karri for massages I have noticed fewer aches and pains in my neck and back, a reduction in stress, and I find I have more energy at the end of my work day to take with me to the gym."

"I walked 17 miles in a race and my legs and hips were extremely sore. I called Karri for an appointment and she was more than happy to help me feel better - and that's exactly what she did! I have always loved massage as a form of relaxation, but this was the first time I had experienced massage in a healing way. After an hour of therapeutic massage from Karri, my legs and hips were considerably better. I feel like my healing time decreased by at least half because of the massage."

Shelly, Springville, Utah |
"I'm the type of person that is very particular about who touches me. And Karri has always been completely professional and made me feel perfectly comfortable.

I always feel relaxed after getting a massage from Karri. She has a great touch. I often get so relaxed that I am quite sleepy when I leave.

I sit at a computer for much of the day's work. I also tend to carry my stress in my neck and shoulders. Karri has helped me several times when I have immense tightness in my neck and shoulder muscles or a kink in my back. She has been terrific in helping me to feel vastly improved.

I feel confident recommending Karri's talents to friends, co-workers and family members who want a wonderful massage."
